 The Regional Managers responsible for various regions will report functionally to the job holder.

 

        4     GOAL(S) of the job

 Responsible for identifying market trends in General Industry which includes leading the regions which performs in a matrix organization for GI, Textile, Steel and Power and Mining along with the respective GIT Heads, developing and executing strategies for regional General Industry. Responsible for setting and implementing goals to support KL Corporate and as well as KLIND objectives and initiatives to penetrate and drive business growth within the General Industry. Provide direction and support to the local Sales force to develop a profitable business.

The jobholder shall be responsible for leading and achieving financial growth in business development initiatives for all the regions, and strategically identifying and successfully concluding worthy opportunities with potential key players / high-level decision-makers in the integrative sector.

 

5     Tasks of the jobholder

Functional tasks

Define long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions in the region.

 Identify and screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies given the various countries’ economic climates, deal requirements, potential, and financials, evaluating options, resolving internal priorities, recommending partnerships / collaborations.

 Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating partner’s needs and goals as well as evaluating and complying with the legal and statutory regulations and requirements of our company.

 Prospect, solicit, develop proposals and negotiate partnership sales. Lead/support renewal negotiations with key accounts, OEMs, end users and our channel partners.

Driving revenues and generating new business, accountable and results-oriented team player with a commitment to achieving goals.

 Strong work ethics combined with a team-first mentality, able to manage time effectively and to drive multiple projects forward within the assigned areas of responsibilities.

 Strategic thinker with solid communication skills, including ability to clearly articulate concepts, negotiate effectively with excellent time management and organizational skills.

        Successful sales and new business development performance in terms of opening new business deals and establishing new partnerships.

 Entrepreneurial and savvy with excellent relationship building and networking skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with colleagues, internal and external customers, channel partners and other connected stake holders.

 Working in close collaboration with regional Managers on market dynamics, competitor’s activities, intelligence market data on pricing etc, new product launches, value case studies, cross selling activities, regional rate contracts, workshops, trainings etc on a regular basis.

 Establishing realistic sales plans (OP) for the next business year, and re-assessing the sales situation for the current business year.

 Implementing & executing KLIND CRM strategy.

 Handling complaints concerning product properties and applications, recording such complaints and providing detailed information to the pertinent departments at the headquarters.

 Leading, participating in and executing related fairs and exhibitions for mentioned markets.

 Preparing reports regarding Key Accounts matters and target groups’ calls, and providing such reports to the General and Sales Management of related KLAP entities and headquarters function.

 Constantly upgrading qualifications by attending internal and external training seminars enhancing organization’s reputation by accepting ownership when endeavoring new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

6     Special Assignments

The jobholder may be given special assignments depending on the situation and necessity in

consultation with the Head of Department. Special assignments give the jobholder the chance

to make use of his possibilities and capabilities.

8     Requirements to be met by the job holder (Qualification)

- At least 10 years of experience in selling products requiring extensive advice and explanation in and/or related industry environment with BE/ B. Tech in Mechanical

- Strong sales-oriented attitude, high motivation for sales, prospecting skills, meeting sales goals, open-minded, sociable, must love travelling and be determined to sell high-quality products

- Sound technical knowledge, especially about machine elements, degree as an engineer or

  equivalent knowledge obtained in practice

- Strong display of verbal and written communication skills

- University degree or equivalent; corporate entrepreneurial mindset; good command of English

- Strategic-analytical business orientation; entrepreneurial thinking with professional attitude

- Collaborative, Cooperative, coordinating and convincing

- Professionalism, internationally minded with experience across different cultures. Strong alignment with varied culture across regions and ability to get along with diverse people in the region.

- Self starter with effective time management and organization skills

- Solid computer skills including Windows, Lotus Notes and MS office
