Manage activities to ensure that materials are sourced with suppliers that meet FHP quality and performance standards at a competitive price. Manage selected major commodities representing high dollar value and/or critical impact on manufacturing operations. Support sourcing activities and manage timetables for new product launches.

Procurement Manager

Your tasks

  • Develop and administer strategies to achieve supplier performance objectives relating to quality, cost, and materials availability.
  • Continuously benchmark the market and negotiate price, payment terms, and supply terms for selected major commodities.
  • Evaluate the current supply base for assigned commodities and source and develop new or existing suppliers to support future requirements in alignment with segment strategy.
  • Assist to SCM in the resolution of supply problems in terms of negotiation and commercial agreements leading to solve the issue. Manage cost implications.
  • Review and recommend supplier capacity/quality capabilities with respect to new and/or current sources base on consolidated volumes ROP/Forecast from SCM and Marketing.
  • Perform Procurement Account Manager duties as outlined in the global procurement supplier master list.
  • Mediate price/quality disputes within certain guidelines.
  • Obtain information necessary to assess short term and long term pricing trends, raw material availability, and industry capacities.
  • Recommend the addition/removal of suppliers from approved supplier list.
  • Manage SAP Procurement Master Data accuracy for new item number set-ups and new vendors.
  • Plan and manage operational priorities successfully in a dynamic business environment.
  • Manage and implement annual cost saving projects per assigned targets.
  • Initiate local MOB (Make or Buy) or participate on Regional MOB base on Global Segment strategies.

Our expectations

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the Purchasing or Supply Chain field. 
  • Strong SAP skills required. 
  • Must possess strong negotiation skills and have experience working with imported goods.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and oral and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker.
  • Formal Project Management training a plus.
  • Required travel 3-4 times year for supplier visits.
