Customer Service Representative

Your tasks

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY AND FUNCTION:

This position plays a premier role in providing ongoing support of Customers and is responsible for achieving and retaining a high level of Customer Satisfaction.

REPORTS TO:    Customer Service Manager

COORDINATES WITH:    Customers, Sales, Production, Shipping/Receiving, Quality, Engineering and Purchasing

JOB DUTIES:

  • Monitor’s workflow and ensures procedures are followed
  • Consults with Customer Service Manager on customer related projects and pricing initiatives                     
  • Executes customer expectations for all products and services through proactive communication and management of customer requirement     
  • Drives all aspects of the order fulfillment process, from request for quotation through order placement to shipment, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Creates and maintains New Product Introduction (NPI) files.
  • Obtains and manages customer forecasts and communicates requirements to ensure alignment between customer requirements and inventory levels
  • Provides initial technical assistance to customers and involves application engineering when necessary
  • Provides information to regional Business Development Managers regarding feedback on quotation / pricing from customers as required.
  • Drives issue resolution through proactive communication with shared services
  • Must develop functional competence with other roles on the team
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for raising and participating in team problem resolution to address potential forecast, part or workflow issues and assist in driving these to improvement and implementation
  • Answer phones, process orders, schedule changes, standard pricing and order inquiries

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a B2B customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated product knowledge on all product lines
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develop solutions, implement procedures and monitor progress
  • Proficient in: SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel and Compliant Pro
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions for efficiencies and customer support
  • General knowledge in reading customer drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to details with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional phone skills and written communication.
  • Successful track record for establishing and maintaining strong Customer relationships.
