Payroll/ HR Specialist
Implement payroll system transfer within ADP through multiple US locations and drive daily payroll improvements

Your tasks

Responsible for maintaining and processing accurate payroll records and timely payment of hours in accordance with state, federal and contractual requirements for multi-state payrolls.
Using ADP, review and verify payroll data for payroll processing, ensure system calculations and other pay premiums are accurate, and enters payroll data
Create and maintain accurate data for Workday
Oversees maintenance of payroll records and files including but not limited to sick time and vacation and other accrued leave
Process manual/final checks, prepare financial/payroll reports for local sites and EEO-1 reporting
Collaborate with Human Resources on administration of 401(k) and other benefit plans
Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, preparation of manual checks, and employment verifications
Assists with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures
Creates annual and year-round plan structure into the HR module of ADP for employee benefit deductions and enrollments
Assist Human Resources with planning and administering annual open enrollment period. This includes preparation (or revision) and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to communicate changes to employees and processing changes within deadlines.
Work on Human Resources projects as requested.

Our expectations

Associates Degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment is required
Experience leading a multi-state 800+ FTE payroll
Experience with ADP payroll software is strongly preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook is required
Solid command of payroll laws and best practices such as overtime and paid time off regulations
Understanding of benefits deductions and leave of absence administration
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion and is trustworthy, discrete and a high degree of personal integrity to maintain sensitive and confidential information
Maintain a friendly, positive and approachable demeanor in all situations
Strong analytical problem solving skills. Excellent customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to diverse audiences
Flexible, open to change and accepting of new unique projects or responsibilities
Desire to continuously learn and stay current on laws, rules, regulations and trends affecting payroll/ human resources field
