Your tasks

  • Diagnose and implement solutions to manufacturing issues, using a structured problem-solving approach, documenting these issues through the quality system to ensure robust processes.
  • Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Continually seek to drive improvements in process design and capability, layout, operational performance and reduce defects.
  • Challenge and improve the production flow to achieve quality at source, fast feedback from inspections, clear and concise standard work and inspection standards.
  • Demonstrates good working knowledge and application of validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements.
  • Design jigs and fixtures to meet manufacturing requirements and optimise machine changeover.
  • Analyses process, product, material or equipment specifications and performance requirements.
  • Under broad supervision / guidance compiles and analyses operational, test and experimental data to establish performance standards for newly implemented or modified products / processes.
  • Continually seeks to drive / improvements in process design, layout and operational performance.
  • Actively promotes and participates in a cross -functional teamwork environment.
  • Evaluates in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact.
  • Is an influential team member, fully motivated to achieve and demonstrate best practices in line with the department and site objectives.

Our expectations

The successful candidate will have a Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree (Level 8) or equivalent qualification. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will have the ability to work cross functionally. You will have post qualification experience with problem solving and process improvement within a manufacturing environment. You will have strong data analysis skills and experience applying continuous improvement and project management techniques.

Project Management, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma qualifications will be a distinct advantage.
