Responsible for the providing technical support in the research and development of proprietary electronic power steering; support the remanufacture of automotive aftermarket product lines, including the analysis of vehicle communication protocols; implement proprietary diagnostic and testing equipment development, specialized training, and integration; provide technical support to customers, as well as internal departments, to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal quality; monitor technical developments to maintain quality products; research and document market data for new applications opportunities; collaborate with product technicians on performing application technical analysis to capture system function and component integration information; analyze electronics and function of specialized EPS applications to determine failure modes, testing requirements (diagnostic and calibration tools), and repair technical requirements; support PCB design and routing, SMD soldering, data processing and validation; finalize product BOMs, and provide engineering support to product life cycle management, including product and application revisions; collaborate with all departments to support and ensure successful implementation of all phases of new product launch; support the implementation of specialized engineering change processes, and develop technical product marketing documentation; develop and implement specialized dynamic product testing, including development of test specifications, and physical testing apparatus; provide engineering support to resolve technical product quality issues with failure mode analysis and validation; utilize Matlab, MS Project, SAP, OrCAD, C/C++, LabWindows, LabVIEW, FreeRTOS, Eagle, automotive protocols, Project Management techniques, automotive aftermarket product development processes, power tools, solder irons, test stands, heat guns, gauges, and oscilloscopes to perform duties; maintain all product and applications technical data and specifications; participate in technical seminars and industry trade shows to demonstrate and explain functionality of proprietary products; drive engineering changes, analyze long-term strategy and optimal production, and collaborate with the customer to ensure technical requirements are met and customer satisfaction; and provide engineering support for new product validation and production part approval to meet technical requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as an Electronic Engineer, as a Test Engineer, as an Aftermarket Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Will accept four (4) years of work experience in the position above, as an Electronic Engineer, as a Test Engineer, as an Aftermarket Engineer, or in a related occupation, in lieu of the primary education and work experience requirements.
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years use of all the following: C/C++, LabWindows, LabVIEW, FreeRTOS, Eagle, automotive protocols, Project Management techniques, automotive aftermarket product development processes, power tools, solder irons, test stands and oscilloscopes.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
