The Quality Assurance Technician works with technical components used in quality assurance and production of products including, but not limited to: product functional testing, production inspection, verification of production lines, scanning, incoming inspection, First Article inspection which includes QAM testing and warehouse product audits.


Quality Assurance Technician (2nd Shift)

Your tasks

  • Perform first article inspections utilizing precision measurement equipment such as calipers, height gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Perform component, in-process and finished product sampling and inspections - tasks completed over the course of one shift through line audit inspections
  • Perform functional testing of finished product and components
  • Document inspection results in electronic Line Audit Log
  • Understand and utilize ANSI/ASQ sampling tables
  • Utilize sampling plans to approve/reject finished goods and starting materials
  • Review and file Shop order with quality checklist, process inspection sheets, deviations and CoC’s for various products
  • Present observations, findings, and results to management along with recommendations
  • Understand and utilize basic Root Cause Analysis Tools

Our expectations

  • 3 years prior experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control function for an injection molding or manufacturing environment, or equivalent education/certification
  • Experience with the following quality / lean tools:  5S, Root Cause Analysis (Fishbone, Cause vs Effect, 5 Why, PDCA), reading blue prints, Gage R&R, proper records keeping and calibration records
  • Experience with the following programs:  Minitab, SPC, and/or Microsoft Office
  • Ability to identify critical dimensions on blueprints and capture associated measurements
  • Basic math, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute a plan and provide concise feedback
  • Understanding of Quality and Manufacturing principles
  • Ability to read and write conversational English. Bi-lingual English and Spanish a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk on level concrete surfaces. Ability to lift and carry (35 lbs)
