Quality Engineer (Job Code: 1005)
Responsible for serving as the product, process, team level Quality Assurance and Quality Survey (QA/QS) representative, as well as a point of contact for all QA/QS activities and responsibilities; evaluate, analyze, and audit submitted and observed quality engineering actions and items for quality compliance; standardize the QA Department corporate procedures and work instructions for uniform process and plant quality operations to ensure optimal products; evaluate and audit corporate inspection techniques and frequencies for affected in/out of process production; maintain short-term and long-term process capability documentation utilized in process and product manufacturing and quality operations; maintain and standardize QA/QS metrics and reporting for process product performance to plant; maintain the electronic CAR/NCMR notification system from process and product to plant QA for analysis, tracking, and reporting, as well as issue CARs/NCMRs as required; audit CAR/NCMR protocol and develop a response from CAR Teams; monitor supplier and vendor performance affecting process and product through the Quality Manager; utilize Lean Continual Improvement, 8D Analysis, Six Sigma, Lotus Notes, statistical analysis using Minitab, Q-Das, rubber compression molding processes, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and VDA, and development of quality manuals, standards and work instructions to perform duties; serve as a corporate QA agent for internal and external customers to ensure optimal quality and customer satisfaction; utilize corporate quality tools to improve QA/QS performance at the process and product plant level; maintain electronic customer files, including tracking and reporting; serve as a QA/QS representative to Product Launch Team for QA related responsibilities, including APQP, PPP, and PPAP; coordinate inspection criteria methodology with receiving inspection towards affected product and process of the customer; lead the follow-up audit and certification of the corporate quality system, and propose quality engineering process improvements focused on guaranteeing an optimal quality system and customer satisfaction; and conduct customer visit support and customer specific related audits (i.e. BIQ and Q1).

Education: Bachelors – Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as an APQP & QMS Engineer, as an Industrial Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) years use of all the following: Lean Continual Improvement, 8D Analysis, Six Sigma, Lotus Notes, statistical analysis using Minitab, Q-Das, rubber compression molding processes, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and VDA, and development of quality manuals, standards and work instructions.
