Mechanic - Injection Molding Equipment
Hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience with equipment maintenance for injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

Your tasks

  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Trouble-shoots and repairs equipment related issues including injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facility support services.
  • Assists in machinery moves and transfers
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of required maintenance documents
  • Follows Company policies and guidelines
  • Follows all safety procedures and behaves as a role model for others in support of the safety culture
  • Supports ISO and other company quality and regulatory standards
  • Participates in kaizen events
  • Other duties as assigned

Our expectations

  • High School/Trade School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience with equipment maintenance preferred for injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment and automation
  • Experience working with HVAC, air compressor, plumbing, chiller, electric, server, etc.
  • Technical experience troubleshooting injection molding equipment issues with respect to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and analyze hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic blueprints
  • Ability to use mechanical power tools
  • Ability to use basic metrology tools such as gauge pins, micrometers, tool scope, dial indicators, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
  • Ability to complete required documentation and record keeping
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift
  • Motivated and driven individual.
  • Creates all required documentation and record keeping
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects of medium complexity
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Involves sitting, standing and/or walking, with frequent ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force to move subjects.
  • Grasping, ability to apply pressure to an object with fingers and palm hand.
  • Hearing, ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound perceiving their nature with no less than 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 100 Hz, and 2000 Hz.
  • Reaching, extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Relative motions, physical ability to sustain movements of the fingers, wrists, hands, or arms.
  • Talking, ability to express or change information by means of the spoken word.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Able to wear gloves, hair covers, lab coats and goggles in a clean room environment
  • Able to perform necessary tasks (such as shovel snow, paint, trash removal, sweeping and mopping floors, etc.)
