Accountant I

Your tasks

  • Prepare reports including daily report for management, monthly internal financial reports for distribution by cost center (MTD & YTD actual performance vs. budget and prior year), annual 1099 report, and more.
  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; timely monthly reconciliation of accounts.
  • Responsible for financial oversight of all internal orders in the system.  This includes capital projects and tooling / engineering orders.  Ensures the timely billing to the customer for tooling / engineering orders, and records journal entries to recognize the costs as appropriate (following the matching principle). 
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of internal financial statements including the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Analyze actual results against prior year, forecasts and budgets.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules and provide monthly detail to the Controller for General Journal entries; ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Participate in and support lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with annual processes such as physical inventory count, internal and external audits, etc.
  • Administrative tasks including processing mail, reviewing invoices, filing, paperwork, assist in purchase requisitions and capital expenses, etc.
  • Prepares and reviews various types of project analysis (Appropriations Requests, financial models, other ad-hoc analysis).
  • Support AP, AR, and HR processes.
