Key Account Engineer

Your tasks

Job Summary

Key Account Engineers (KAE) are the main technical contact and technical support for one or more selected regional or global customers (key accounts) in the market segment “Consumer.” Support is provided through technical advice and implementation of development projects for converted products, as well as transferring them in manufacturing and marketing in close collaboration with other FFT departments and external partners. Manages the product development project portfolio related to the assigned key accounts. This role contributes to the realization of the objectives and measures of the operational and strategic planning.

KAE Consumer North America is regionally responsible within the above described framework for several selected regional customers (key accounts) in the market segment "Consumer" of North America.

Typical duties and responsibilities

  • Is responsible for execution of defined product development projects based on requests from regional or global CO market segment management and in close collaboration with them, the customer and the regional sales team.
  • Technical contact and leader for defined projects to internal and external project partners;
  • Lead and work with project engineers to support of CO segment management in product quote, sample building, pilot trial and mass production;
  • Giving applications engineering support to specific customers and the global and/or regional CO market segment management, sales team, and other internal functions;
  • Is responsible for sustaining engineering of existing filters product lines for consumer customers in one region or one global consumer customer.

Our expectations

Knowledge / Experience

  • BS or MS in mechanical or process engineering, or other related engineering/science
  • 3+ years new product development experience preferred
  • Experience for managing multi-projects

Core competencies                                                                                         

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to achieve results individually and as a team member
  • Must guard confidentiality of Company information
  • Experience with making presentations to clients.
  • Project management experience to include negotiations of contracts and agreements, financial analysis to influence buying decisions and use of software tools to conduct summary reviews and presentations.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working conditions are consistent with a typical office environment.
  • Travel (less than 20%).
