The Quality Assurance Technician works with technical components used in quality assurance and production of products including, but not limited to: product functional testing, production inspection, checking the lines, scanning, incoming inspection, first article inspection which includes QAM testing and product audits in the warehouse.

Quality Assurance (QA) Technician - 2nd Shift
2nd Shift (1:30 PM - 9:30 PM; M-F)

Your tasks


  • Perform first article inspections for vendors utilizing precision measurement equipment such as calipers, height gages, micrometer, etc
  • Perform component, in-process and finish product sampling and inspections; can be done through line audit inspections all day as time allows due to other daily requirements and special requests
  • Perform functional testing on finished product and components
  • Document inspection results in electronic version of the Line Audit Log
  • Understand and utilize Root Cause Analysis Tools
  • Understand and utilize ANSI/ASQ sampling tables
  • Utilize sampling plans to approve/reject finished goods and starting materials
  • Help to maintain document control in electronic Quality Managment System QT9 and have the ability to update or create written procedures with site operations personnel
  • Review and file Shop order with quality checklist, process inspection sheets, deviations and CoC’s for various products
  • Present observations, findings, and results to management along with recommendations

Our expectations

  • 2-5+ years of relevant quality assurance or quality control experience required, with a thorough understanding of quality and manufacturing principles
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to make a plan, execute a plan, and measure results
  • Familiarity with and ability to use computer and software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Comcol
  • Math, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to read and decipher blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Good communication skills verbal and written
