The Safety Document Control Specialist is the key driver of all Production related administrative activities along with ensuring that support is provided to each of the technical functions in the office and on the production floor.

Bilingual Safety Specialist

Your tasks

  • Manage all QT9 related activities
    • Document control, Training Entry, HSE related documentation
  • Oversee hourly/salaried Production, HSE and QA training program
  • Ensure all Engineering changes are completed and documented properly
  • Support all HSE related activities such as:
    • Coordinate pickup for universal waste, light bulbs, batteries, hazardous waste, and landfill, according to waste management program
    • Monitoring trucks at the facility and coordinating with external companies to swap out trucks for recycling balers and scrap
    • Coordinating inspection for fire extinguisher, ladders, defibrillators, FA cabinets
  • Performing inspection for 6s, fire protection, spill prevention, eyewash stations, proper hazard and safety signage, flammable substances, and hoist inspections
  • Coordination activities with floor champion
  • Make 5s signs for the floor
  • Walkthroughs in the plant to make sure PPE is wearing properly
  • Update SDS master list
  • Manage monthly reports for waste management, reviewing pickup weight reports to consolidate on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate smog hog inspections
  • Filling manifest, temporally roof access permit and other documents
  • Manage purchases on Grainger website
  • Coordinating activities with cleaning personnel (front office, production offices, warehouse office)
  • Responsible for documenting all new product procedures

Our expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant safety experience working in a manufacturing environment; desire to continue a career in safety
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • MS Suite proficiency
  • Outgoing; strong attention to detail; flexible
