This job opportunity is a role that allows you to work remotely, we are looking for a Sales Engineer within the Northern California / Sacramento area. Our ideal candidate would have a background in food processing, automotive sub suppliers, heavy industry and/or marine. The Company headquarters for this role is in Londonderry, NH.

Sales Engineer

Your tasks

Manage defined sales and account responsibility within the defined geographic area as directed by the Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Manager.  Function as a company representative with a strong sense of professionalism and customer service. Job focus will be on over-proportional growth in the assigned territory, generating significant new sales in the territory.

  • Call on existing customers and prospective customers regularly.
  • Develop, maintain and grow a strong project pipeline for the territory.
  • Strong Focus on New Business Development to provide over-proportional growth in the territory.
  • Work with Marketing to determine qualified targets to pursue for growth
  • Write customer call reports in CRM that detail all customer visits and projects.
  • Use Lotus Notes Calendar function to develop a detailed weekly itinerary.
  • Maintain efficient and detailed written records on all customers and reports.
  • Submit regular expense reports using Concur.
  • Make Kluber product recommendations.
  • Offer additional technical assistance as required to earn business. 
  • Establish a sales budget for the territory in conjunction with Regional Sales Manager.

Our expectations

  • 3-5 years in sales of lubricants, mechanical equipment or technical sales.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office located within the geographic territory
  • Ability to travel regularly to visit existing and potential customers within the assigned territory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have solid computer skills including Windows, MS Office, ACT, PowerPoint and Email.
  • Self starter with effective time management and organizational skills        
  • Able to work with others within Klüber Group as team player to achieve team goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires regular domestic and occasional international travel via plane or car to include overnight stays
  • Visit customer facilities/plants which may require use of personal protective equipment or other required gear
  • Frequent use of keyboard, typing and use of personal computer and/or handheld devices
  • Communication skills: verbal, writing, public speaking and presentation
