The General Assembler 2 position is responsible for the accurate assembly of parts, which meets approved specifications. The position covers work areas in the automation/manual bucket-lines as well as the Drill-Fill machine packing stations. All General Assembler 2 incumbents are able to perform General Assembler 1 duties and may be called to do so if demand requires.

12 Hour Shifts (6 AM-6 PM, OR 6 PM-6 AM AVAILABLE)

Your tasks

  • Help maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications and rates
  • Load semi-automated machines safely and cautiously according to process instructions
  • Inspect parts according to quality specifications
  • Analyze inspection data, as required
  • Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy
  • Follow Health, Safety, Environmental and Lean standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Rotate through work stations supporting colleagues where required
  • Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem

Our expectations

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 0-4 years of experience in manfacturing environment preferred
  • If possible, must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs, as needed
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic math skills and good use of logic
  • Able to work and think independently
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition, speed and accuracy for performing repetitive tasks
  • Experience with power and hand tools a plus
  • An excellent team player who is committed to helping and communicating with coworkers
  • Motivated individuals who want to work and will show up to their scheduled shifts on time and excited and ready to work
