Freudenberg Filtration Technologies is seeking a Global Manager Information Security & Data Protection to take end‑to‑end ownership of our global Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Data Protection Management System (DPMS).
This is a strategic, high‑impact global role with responsibility for setting standards, ensuring compliance, and continuously strengthening our security and data protection landscape across regions. You will act as a trusted expert and sparring partner to management, enabling the business while safeguarding information assets in a complex, international environment.
You support our team as:

Global Manager Information Security & Data Protection (f/m/d)

Responsibilitiesarrow_right

  • Shape and govern global standards for Information Security and Data Protection, ensuring alignment with international frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Own audits and compliance at a global level, coordinating internal reviews and managing external ISMS audits with a strong focus on effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Drive risk‑based decision‑making by conducting global risk assessments, identifying security risks, and defining pragmatic mitigation measures.
  • Enable and lead through influence, working closely with local Information Security Managers and Data Protection Coordinators to ensure consistent implementation worldwide.
  • Act as a strategic interface between business, IT, legal, and management—translating security and data protection requirements into practical, value‑adding solutions.
  • Continuously improve processes, leveraging Lean principles, automation, and innovative approaches to increase efficiency, transparency, and reporting quality.
  • Contribute at expert level in global committees and working groups to further develop standards, frameworks, and best practices.

Qualificationsarrow_right

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive professional experience in Information Security and/or Data Protection within an international context.
  • Proven experience with international security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and/or TISAX.
  • Strong working knowledge of data protection regulations, speciifically GDPR.
  • Excellent analytical, risk assessment, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Solid project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple global topics in parallel.
  • Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and communicating complex topics clearly and effectively.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
