You support our team as
Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities
- Establish the overall purchasing processes, including new supplier selection, EOQ, and quotation management, as well as supplier performance evaluation.
- Implement inventory replenishment methodology to achieve inventory and delivery performance targets for raw materials.
- Lead the raw material sourcing team and define priorities to do market survey and find new sources and approve suppliers. Continuesly increase the local content.
- Negotiate prices and any other terms (e.g. payment terms, lead-time, etc.) with suppliers to achieve an advantage for the company and to meet the annual cost targets within the established policies.
- Continuously improve purchasing processes and provide qualified input to related processes / functions, meanwhile higher transparancy to local / HQ management team.
- Prepare and conduct supplier audits.
- Enhance E-procurement, support Raw Material Introduction process, implement the Stragety 2024 -2026.
- Facilitate company strategies, like raw material localization, sustainability (especially package materials in foot print scope 3) and customer centricity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above in Chemistry or related subject or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years sourcing team management experience in multinational chemical company.
- Strong leadership and management skills; Ability to motivate team members in order to achieve results.
- Understand the ways of doing business in an international environment; multicultural mindset exposure; Experience in dealing with international suppliers and internal interfaces, as well as importing and exporting raw materials.
- Methodological competence (familiar with usual purchasing tools, dispostions, warehouse management,ABC analysis..)
- Strong cost awareness and negotiation skills.
- Good command of English in speech and writing; familiar with SAP and MS office.
- Familiar with quality management and quality standards.
