The Financial Cost Accountant will have 2 primary areas of responsibilities. The position will report to the Senior Financial/Operations Analyst in supporting the management and reporting of the Company’s costing and inventory systems and processes. In addition, the position will also support the Company’s Purchasing Manager on a daily and ad hoc basis.  Both roles will adhere to the  Company standards for safety, clean environment, quality, productivity and meeting customer requirements.

Financial Cost Accountant

Your Tasks

  • Lead and assist in month end closing process
  • Assist or lead in the analysis and reporting of Manufacturing variances
  • Assist or lead in the management, analysis and reporting of Manufacturing costs
  • Support Operations and Commercial teams in costing related analysis and decision making
  • Assist or lead in the management, analysis and reporting of Inventory
  • Assist or lead in the calculation of Inventory related reserves
  • Support and backup Purchasing Manager
  • Assist in the annual Audit process
  • Assist in the annual operative planning process
  • Proactively identify, support and coordinate report automation opportunities
  • Develop proficiency in SAP to become a site systems leader

Our expectations

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent required
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment is required

Knowledge / Experience

  • Proficiency in computer and related software programs (SAP, MS Office tools)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounting or Finance in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in participating and/or managing multiple on-going projects individually or with other team members
